Which one is right for me?
Two things decide it: how much of your own hair is still doing the work, and how much coverage you would like a piece to provide.
- Extensions add length and thickness to hair that is still growing well at the root.
- Toppers cover thinning at the part or crown, and blend into the hair you still have around them.
- Wigs give full coverage, and suit widespread thinning, total loss, or anyone who wants to put a piece on and take it off.
- Color runs through all three. Matching a piece to your own shade is what makes it read as your hair.
Most women arrive somewhere between two of these, which is the ordinary case. The consultation is where it gets settled. You will see and handle the options in person before anything is decided.
